By making a community/unrestricted gift, you give the Foundation
latitude in addressing the most pressing needs in the county today as
well as the emerging
needs of the next generation. Community/Unrestricted funds are those
from which grants are normally made in response to approved applications
from
community
organizations and institutions. Such funds are also used to fund grants
for proactive purposes approved by the Board of Directors.
Families, individuals, and businesses may be particularly
interested in a Community/Unrestricted Endowment when they:
- Wish to create a perpetual named fund to honor
or memorialize a family, individual, or business;
- Wish to create a
perpetual named fund to which others may contribute;
- Wish to provide
funds which allow the board and staff of the Community Foundation
to respond to community needs in innovative ways.
The Board of Directors and staff of the Community Foundation make gifts to this unrestricted fund, which will provide support for new and
emerging community needs.
