Behind every endowment is a story of love, legacy, and lasting impact for a better future. Meet the people who turned their passions and memories into powerful legacies through the Community Foundation for the causes they care about most.
“I created the Bibs Memorial Fund to provide assistance to children and those who may be in need of counseling,” said Stephanie Bibler of Claypool. The fund helps ensure youth have access to critical support when they need it most.
A commitment to early childhood education inspired Josh Silveus of Warsaw to create the Bright Start Early Learning Fund. This fund expands access to quality, affordable child care and early learning, giving children a strong foundation for future success.
“I created the Sonja Easterday Fund to provide support for youth educational activities focused on agriculture,” said Kelly Heckaman of Syracuse. “We created the Troy Murphy Memorial Fund to provide support to Tippecanoe Valley High School’s Life Skills class,” shared Jeff and Tami Murphy of Warsaw.
The fund supports students with special needs as they prepare for life beyond school. Environmental stewardship also serves as inspiration. “I created the Spurgeon-Young Family Fund for Lake Wawasee Water Quality to protect Lake Wawasee,” said Kay Young of Syracuse.
