Warsaw Student, Bronwyn Poch, awarded Rick and April Sasso Family Scholarship

The Kosciusko County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that Bronwyn Poch, Warsaw Community High School, is the recipient of the Rick and April Sasso Family Scholarship.
The Rick and April Sasso Family Scholarship may provide full-tuition for one year of study at any Indiana accredited nonprofit college or university. Past recipients will be given the opportunity to renew the scholarship each year for up to four years of undergraduate study. The Community Foundation appoints a committee to lead a blind review process of all applications.
The criteria for the scholarship included:
• Graduating senior from Warsaw Community High School;
• Pursuing an academic and/or technical honors diploma at the end of their junior year of high school;
• Maintaining a GPA of 3.8 or higher at the end of their junior year of high school;
• Intending to pursue a full-time course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree at an accredited public or private nonprofit college or university in Indiana.
Rick Sasso is a graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal surgery and is the President of Indiana Spine Group. Together, Rick and April, have generously supported many charitable causes in Indiana, including projects in Warsaw and Winona Lake.
Bronwyn Poch
Bronwyn is a senior at Warsaw Community High School. She will graduate with honors in May 2026 and plans to pursue a degree in mathematics and physics.
“I’d like to attend college in Indiana so I can stay close to home and continue serving the community that has served me so well,” said Bronwyn.
Her references shared that Bronwyn is an exceptionally self-driven, high-character student whose integrity, intellectual curiosity, and mastery-level commitment set her apart as the rare leader who elevates every academic and extracurricular opportunity. Bronwyn’s genuine passion for learning and unparalleled work ethic makes her poised to make a transformative impact on the world.
She was a member of the Academic Superbowl (math division), Orchestra, Mayor’s Youth, Advisory Council, National Honor Society, Math UIL, Track and Field, Indiana Thespian Troupe, and the Cross Country team.
Bronwyn was celebrated with a surprise award ceremony on Friday, November 21 at Warsaw Community High School.
