COVID-19 Recovery Grants Now Available

The Kosciusko County Community Foundation is opening a special grant program to address financial challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. The COVID-19 Recovery Grant initiative has been created to help support charitable organizations that serve residents of Kosciusko County, and are facing difficult circumstances caused by the virus. Organizations can apply to receive funding if they are classified as a 501(c)(3) organization, or if they are a nonprofit childcare center, preschool, or library.

Qualified organizations may submit an application for a one-time request of no more than $5,000.00. All expenses reported on the application must have occurred between March 24, 2020 and June 30, 2021. Requests will be considered from applicants seeking to help cover the cost of supplies and equipment needed to meet new safety and health guidelines, additional staff hours to provide increased cleaning services, deferred or lost revenue due to fundraisers or income generating event cancellations, or equipment/services purchased to update/improve technology to allow for remote work or to offer programs virtually.

Similar to the other grant processes at the Community Foundation, grant seekers are encouraged to contact program staff members to discuss their grant request before submitting a formal application. Additional guidelines and access to the application portal can be found at: https://www.kcfoundation.org/grants/

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and grants will be awarded as long as funding permits. Grant seekers should be prepared to allow a minimum of thirty days for review.
