Eddie and Louise met and later married at their church in Atwood, Indiana. Once married, Louise joined Eddie in West Lafayette as he was pursuing his degree in Agriculture at Purdue University. For two years after graduation, Eddie finished his Purdue ROTC service with the Army Corps of Engineers as a Commissioned Officer. Following this time, Eddie and Louise returned to Kosciusko County to raise their three children, Bill, Tim, and Mindy all of whom still live in Kosciusko County.
Eddie was also returning to the farm, Creighton Brothers. The family egg farm was started by his father and uncle and has continued its legacy of success now into five generations. Eddie also valued decades of service to the Boy Scouts, serving as a troop leader for nearly all the boys from the Atwood area during the 60’s-70’s.
For Eddie and Louise, their roots are deep in Kosciusko County, and it was here partnering with the Community Foundation that they realized that their gift could go a long way in supporting what is important to them.
They established the Eddie and Louise Creighton Family Fund and the Kosciusko County Boy Scouts Endowment Fund. Even though Eddie and Louise have passed, these funds will continue to meet the charitable dreams and goals of Eddie and Louise, forever.
