AWS Foundation Accessible Communities Fund
Special Grant Initiative
In an effort to provide support for building inclusive communities for those with disabilities, the AWS Foundation and Kosciusko County Community Foundation have partnered to offer the AWS Foundation Accessible Communities Fund initiative.
Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis and will be awarded through this competitive grant application process. Awards of up to $5,000 will be made until all funds have been allocated. Charitable organizations serving Kosciusko County residents are eligible to apply for projects and programs that meet the Guiding Principles of the fund. Decisions are made based on the Grant Award Timeline shown at the bottom of this page.

How To Apply
Grant seekers should review AWS Foundation Accessible Communities Fund Grant Guidelines before applying.
To access the grant application portal, click the button below. The first time you apply, the Community Foundation staff will need to create a user login for you. Please reach out to us for assistance.
Grant seekers are required to contact Alex Hall (alex@kcfoundation.org), vice president of programs, to set up a time to discuss your proposal prior to submitting a formal application online.

Required Document
All applicants are required to complete an Authorization Signature Form, which can be downloaded by selecting the preferred file type below.
Additional Documentation
Organizations that have not applied for other funding from the Community Foundation within the past 12 months will be required to upload the additional documentation listed below.

*What financial documents should I include with my application?
Your organization’s most recent Statement of Activities and Statement of Financial Position will be required. Examples of both documents are below. Your organization’s most recent 990 is also requested, but not required.
Grant Award Timeline
Weeks 1-2 after application submitted
Staff reviews applications that have been received for eligibility and completion. Staff may follow up with applicant with any clarifying questions that the reviewers may have.
Week 3 after submission
Reviewers receive applications and meets to discuss recommendations to be sent to the Community Foundation's board of directors for approval.
Weeks 4-6 after submission
Board reviews the recommendations and final decisions are made. Letters are mailed within one week of the board’s decision to notify applicants. Grant agreements are included with the letter for approved requests.
60 days after decision
Grant agreements due for successful applicants.
1 year after decision
Grant expires and successful applicants submit a final narrative report describing the impact of the project with documentation verifying expenditures.
