A new fund was recently established at the Kosciusko County Community Foundation by the Warsaw Rotary Club to support the City of Warsaw in developing a dog park on the west side of town. The new fund, Rotary Dog Park Fund, reflects Warsaw Rotary Club’s ongoing commitment to giving back to the community.
“Our hope is to provide a space for residents, especially those living in apartments or without yards, where they can actively exercise their dogs,” said Seth Bradford, Warsaw Rotary President. “With more housing being added in town, this park will offer a safe and welcoming place for both people and pets to enjoy.”
The dog park will be located on one-third of an acre at 214 S. McKinley Street, adjacent to Krebs Trailhead Park. It will feature two separated fenced-in areas, one for small dogs and one for large dogs, to ensure a safe environment for all. Membership options will be available so that all dogs are properly registered. Once completed, the park will be maintained by the Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department.
