Collaborate Kosciusko
Kosciusko County Community Foundation
As a result of a White Paper project for the Kosciusko Leadership Academy, Collaborate Kosciusko began in 2014 to strengthen and equip the nonprofit organizations serving our county with the essential tools they need to effectively provide services to local residents. Collaborate Kosciusko serves as a forum for nonprofit leaders to meet and discuss trends, needs, and current events in their industries, and to share resources with one another. Since inception, Collaborate Kosciusko has convened dozens of sessions, including the following topics:
- Nonprofit Lifecycles
- Year-end giving campaigns
- Presentations from area funders on grant opportunities
- The why and how of nonprofit networking
- Best practices in collaboration and responses to public emergencies
- Staff management, including benefits, compensation, and self-care
- Nonprofit financial statements
- Writing press releases and media relations
- Managing volunteers
