KCCF Awards Over $175,000 In Community Fund Grants

The Kosciusko County Community Foundation recently awarded $176,728.38 to 20 local organizations and agencies through Community Fund Grants.
Community Funds are awarded based on a competitive grant application process. Nonprofit organizations serving Kosciusko County are eligible to apply in one of seven areas of interest that include education, health, recreation, arts & culture, civic projects, the environment, and human services.
Congratulations to the following organizations that were awarded Community Funds during the spring cycle:
- Cardinal Services – $8,500 for equipment for Head Start rooms, made possible by the Dekko Enhancement Fund.
- CASA of Kosciusko County – $7,500 for volunteer recruitment and retention, made possible by the Dekko Enhancement Fund.
- Community Arts Program – $15,000 for Choral Fest weekend, made possible by the Richard, Evelyn and Jane Glover Charitable Endowment.
- Diocese of Northern Indiana – $3,500 for Camp New Happenings, made possible by Kralis Community Funds.
- Fellowship Missions – $10,000 for emergency shelter and recovery programs, made possible by the Kosciusko County Addition & Recovery Fund, the Greg Sasso Memorial Fund, and the Archie and Betty Ferguson Community Endowment Fund.
- Fort Wayne Philharmonic – $20,000 for holiday performances, made possible by the Judy A. Buehle Music Endowment Fund.
- Grace College – $10,000 for the 2025 Festival of Music, made possible by the Mikesell Endowment Fund for MasterWorks.
- GT Solutions – $4,264.38 for Vitality Matters infrastructure, made possible by the Dekko Enhancement Fund.
- KCV Cycling Club – $4,000 for bicycle education and safety program, made possible by the Vivian B. Light Bicycle Safety Education Fund, the Roy F. Hauth, Jr. and Joellen Hauth Charitable Endowment, and Community Funds.
- Live Well Kosciusko – $5,000 for the well-being initiative, made possible by Kralis Community Funds.
- Lost Sparrows – $10,000 for the Trauma Conference, made possible by Bob and Marge Gast Community Fund, The Claude C. Hartman and Sarah R. Hartman Endowment Fund, the Dekko Enhancement Fund, and Community Funds
- Milford Police Department – $4,464 for bulletproof vests, made possible by the Kosciusko Civil Services Fund.
- Chautauqua Wawasee – $5,000 for life-enriching programs, made possible by the Miles D. and Maxine I. Igo Community Fund, the John G. and Florell Hand Community Fund, and the Archie and Betty Ferguson Community Endowment Fund.
- Presby Preschool – $8,000 for the tutoring program and nature classroom, made possible by the Archie and Betty Ferguson Community Endowment Fund.
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana – $5,000 for lodging and support for families, made possible by the Dekko Enhancement Fund.
- Science Central – $3,500 for science education and outreach programs, made possible by the Dekko Enhancement Fund.
- Sleep in Heavenly Peace – $5,000 for beds for low-income children, made possible by the Dekko Enhancement Fund.
- Town of Claypool – $20,000 for strategic planning, made possible by the Lilly Unrestricted Endowment Fund, The Wood Family Charitable Fund, Kralis Community Funds, and The George and Patricia Lenke Community Fund.
- Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts – $20,000 for holiday performances, made possible by The Richard, Evelyn and Jane Glover Charitable Endowment.
- Main Street Warsaw – $8,000 for operating and program support, made possible by Kralis Community Funds.
