Helen and Carl Berkey

Giving hope to future generations pursuing academic excellence is the living legacy of the Berkey Education Endowment Fund.  After graduating from North Manchester College, Helen  worked as an elementary school teacher in Atwood, Nappanee and Ft. Wayne while her brother, Carl, committed his life to farming.  Helen’s work as a noted artist and community servant are remembered in her work with organizations such as The Artists’ Guild, Kosciusko County Historical Society and Professional Business Women’s Club of Warsaw.  Helen and Carl Berkey leave a legacy of perseverance and community investment that is remembered each year in the lives of future leaders assisted through the Berkey Education Endowment.
