Alex Hall named Vice President of Programs

Alex Hall

Kosciusko County Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Vice President of Programs, Mr. Alex Hall. Mr. Hall, who most recently served as the Associate Director of Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams at Grace College, comes with a strong existing relationship with the Community Foundation as a former Kosciusko Endowment Youth Services (KEYS) participant, volunteer, and committee member.

Alex Hall is a graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Manchester University and holds a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Grace College. He is a resident of Winona Lake.

Alex was first introduced to the Community Foundation in 2002 when he was selected by his principal to represent Warsaw Community Schools as a participant in the Foundation’s youth philanthropy program, KEYS. He says his passion for philanthropic work was born out of his KEYS experience. Since 2018, Alex has served the KEYS program as a volunteer group leader. He has also served on various Community Foundation committees and scholarship review panels in recent years.

“The Community Foundation has experienced significant growth in our assets, our grantmaking, and in opportunities to help meet community needs over the last few years. The creation of the Vice President of Programs role will help us be better equipped to offer nonprofits grants and technical assistance and will expand our capacity to meet community needs as they emerge,” said Community Foundation CEO, Stephanie Overbey.

“Alex’s long-time volunteer experiences at the Community Foundation, combined with the leadership skills he acquired during his time at the Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams at Grace College and on various nonprofit boards, has prepared him very well to take on this new endeavor. We are very excited to welcome him.”

Alex is a current Board Member with The Watershed Foundation and a former Board Member of the Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy. In 2020, he was named a Rising Leader by the Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation.

In addition to his work with the Lilly Center, Alex has taught a variety of online courses at Grace College. He has led students on Go Encounter trips to Japan, the Bahamas, and most recently to Hawaii earlier this month.

His former colleagues at the Lilly Center for Lakes & Streams congratulate Alex on his new role. “Alex has been a key part of our team for nearly five years, and we are sending him off to now invest his skillset and personality at the Community Foundation,” said Lilly Center Director Dr. Nate Bosch. “He will be missed on our team, but we wish him well in this new chapter and look forward to working with him in his new role.”

The Lilly Center is celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2022. The organization began through a donor advised grant of the Community Foundation in 2007, and the two organizations have since collaborated on numerous projects. “The Foundation has continued to financially support our work, and the Lilly Center has learned numerous organizational best practices from Community Foundation programs,” said Dr. Bosch.

The Lilly Center is currently accepting applications for the position of Associate Director and applicants can find more information at www.grace.edu.
