Philanthropy Week winners award local grants

To celebrate National Philanthropy Week Nov. 15-19, the Kosciusko County Community Foundation partnered with WRSW Classic Hits 107.3 and Willie 103.5 and their listeners to give away ten $100 grants to local charities.

Community Foundation staff and board members took part in on-air interviews each day to talk about philanthropy and the many different ways the Community Foundation serves the local area, according to a news release from the Foundation.

Two winning callers were chosen each day to nominate their favorite local charity to receive a grant, and the chosen charities were: Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, American Heart Association, Combined Community Services, CASA of Kosciusko County, One Dog At A Time Rescue, Kosciusko TNR, Spoonful of Imagination Studio, The Beaman Home and Kosciusko County Riley Kids Fund.

Since 1968, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc. has helped donors achieve their charitable dreams. The Community Foundation is a public charity that grants over $6 million annually in the areas of education, health, arts and culture, recreation, civic projects, environment and human services. Gifts made to the Community Foundation are tax-deductible. For more information, call 574-267-1901 or visit 102 E. Market Street, Warsaw.
