Hometown Chat Reports

In 2018, Lilly Endowment Inc. announced the seventh phase of Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT VII). GIFT initiatives are designed to help strengthen Indiana community foundations and their ability to meet needs in their communities. As part of GIFT VII, KCCF was awarded a Community Leadership Planning Grant to undertake a county-wide citizen outreach.  Between July and August this year, KCCF contracted Becker Consulting to conduct 12 Hometown Chat meetings to gain insight from local residents; what they loved about their hometowns, and what they felt was missing. We are pleased to have gathered great data; some of which we expected, but some of which surprised us! We are appreciative to all the individuals who attended the chats and shared their aspirations and concerns. The information gathered will be utilized to inform KCCF grantmaking and strategic priorities. Click the links below to view the Hometown Chat Summaries.
